Michael Watson has an extensive background in economic and business development from coast to coast. Prior to coming to British Columbia in 1998, Mr. Watson worked closely with the Province of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax as Director of Marketing for the City. In 1998 Mr. Watson transplanted to Chilliwack and brought his experiences in economic development to the City in setting up the Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation (CEPCO), and served as its first CEO. Since 2001 Mr. Watson has served First Nations interests in economic development as President/CEO of Four Corners Tribal Business Corporation, and as General Manager of Stó:lō Community Futures. Both organizations have emerged as key pillars in the building of the local Stó:lō economy.
