Tammy Beauvais

Tammy Beauvais is a Mohawk Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur, born and raised in Kahnawake Mohawk Territory. Tammy launched her company Tammy Beauvais Designs in 1999. Tammy Beauvais Designs is an Indigenous Fashion Design Company that designs, manufactures, markets and sells Indigenous Flavored clothing and accessories. Tammy is a self-taught fashion designer, but has participated in many entrepreneur trainings. Some notable ones include Tewatohnisaktha (Kahnawake’s Business Development Commission), BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada) and Harvard University’s Social Enterprise Training. Tammy Beauvais Designs’ clothing has been worn by actors such as Robert De Niro and Pierce Brosnan, 3 Popes (Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Frances), and the First Ladies of North, South and Central America (including Madame Aline Chretien of Canada and First Lady Laura Bush of the United States).  Tammy’s designs can be found in museum collections around the world such as the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC. and the Bundeskunsthalle Museum in Germany. Tammy was recently commissioned by Sophie Gregoire Trudeau to create a cape that was given to First Lady Michele Obama during the Prime Minister’s visit to the White House. Tammy’s passion for entrepreneurship recently led her into the world of Investing in the Stock Market and in Real Estate. “I Love that I can bounce back and forth from Fashion to Investing it’s very exciting and refreshing!!” Tammy currently lives in Kahnawake, QC with her husband Michael Yellowhair.
